「事件發生剛好是過年，除夕當天 ⋯⋯。」辜莞允（Nono）在2014年初遺失相機，導致私密照流出，碰巧那天正好是家人團聚的日子，看著電視新聞不斷的播放，讓她只能放下手中的碗筷，躲在房間裡哭了一整夜。
25歲的辜莞允大學期間擔任模特兒賺外快，沒多久後就受邀拍攝知名網路遊戲的廣告，因此打開知名度。其實她的爸媽一度反對她進入演藝圈，不過她笑笑說：「雖然反對，但是我早上要出門工作前，就會看到他們把我的早餐放在桌上。」
看似順遂的星路才正要啓程，連她自己也沒想到，竟然會發生掉落相機一事，露點私密照在網路上大肆流傳，成為她在演藝圈的轉捩點。2014年1月，她在世新大學遺失相機，導致3張泡湯裸照外流到網路上，她憤而報案。檢方發現，在世新大學失物招領中心打工的男大生涉有重嫌，22日便依妨害電腦使用、散佈猥褻物等罪起訴。雖然最後雙方達成和解，不過這也成為她永遠不可抹滅過往。
辜.莞.允鼓起勇氣重提事發經過：「那天正是除夕夜，電視螢幕上出現新聞，我覺得很尷尬、也很難過，我就把東西放下，進房間開始哭。」讓她感受最深的，莫過於就是事件發生在一家團聚的過年期間，不過家人隻字未提，而是默默地在她身旁陪伴。她瞬間眼眶濕潤地說：「判決出來後，我媽媽沒跟我講，但到現在報紙都還放在她的辦公桌上。」
辜莞允平常與家人關係說不上緊密，不過爸媽總是默默地支持著她且給予幫助，她也展現堅強的一面地說著：「我不是個會一直後悔的人，發生的事都是成就現在的我，我不會想太久，我會往後看，後悔也不能重來。」
提到家人，雖然她與爸媽關係不算緊密，但是她心裡也一直想對爸媽說聲對不起，她略帶愧疚地說道：「家人當時希望我先完成學業，我覺得很對不起他們。」她爸媽雖然反對她在求學期間就接觸演藝圈，不過從未嚴厲禁止，而是讓她選擇想走的路。
如今，她透過作品讓爸媽看見她的成績，除廣告、代言與節目主持，也計劃在今年推出第3本寫真書。
