◎簡 介
清朝末年，官吏貪腐，民不聊生，在浙江地方上，有一位蒙面俠士“鐵猴子”，兩年來劫富濟貧，令賣官鬻爵的歷任知府叫苦不叠。鐵猴子在白天的身份是大夫楊天淳(於榮光 飾)，楊大夫妙手仁心，深得鄉鄰愛戴。知府為抓捕鐵猴子，不惜拷打眾多不相幹群眾，路經此地的黃麒英（甄子丹 飾）、黃飛鴻父子不慎卷入其中，知府見黃麒英身手過人，扣押飛鴻要挾其捉拿鐵猴子，黃麒英與鐵猴子交手後惺惺相惜。不久朝廷欽差抵浙，聽聞鐵猴子“作亂”之舉後施展大力金剛掌將其擊傷，原來這欽差的真實身份是少林叛徒衍空（任世官 飾），身為少林弟子的黃麒英聯合鐵猴子，誓為少林清理門戶。

◎簡 介
黃飛鴻（李連傑 飾），十三姨（關之琳 飾）和鬼腳七（熊欣欣 飾）三人遠赴美國舊金山，只因一年前牙擦蘇（陳國邦 飾）在美國開設寶芝林至今終於紮下了腳跟。黃飛鴻於路搭救了落難的美國快槍手比利（Jeff Wolfe 飾），不想他們的旅隊被林中埋伏的印第安人沖散，黃飛鴻為救十三姨落入湍急河流，頭部受撞擊後下落不明。十三姨和鬼腳七被人救起送至寶芝林，牙擦蘇得見二人大喜過望，為這華工頗受鎮長欺侮的小鎮生活增添了生機。比利因出眾的槍法受雇為助理治安官，對華人頗有好感的比利憑一己之力予以華工幫助。失去記憶的黃飛鴻被印第安人部落收留，因十三姨堅持不懈的尋找二人終於團聚。與此同時，鎮長與匪幫勾結為自己牟取暴利，事發後撇開匪幫導致後者大舉報覆，被鎮長栽贓的黃飛鴻挺身而出，大戰西部群匪……

16歲的男孩Craig克雷格（凱爾·吉克瑞斯特 飾）經常會想象自己的死亡，在嘗試多種藥物皆沒有效果後，自己來到精神病院接受治療。在那里，他和一個自殺了幾次卻沒能死掉的神神叨叨的Bobby鮑比（紮克·加利費安納基斯 飾）成了朋友，還認識了一個特別的女孩Noelle，當然還有許許多多的“非正常人”。他們幾個在醫院的生活中，漸漸尋回了生命的意義，尤其是鮑勃·迪倫的歌詞“He Not Busy Being Born Is Busy Dying”給了他們巨大的力量，讓他們重新擁有勇氣去面對生活的壓力。最後，出院的克雷格是否能讓他原本陰霾密布的生活重見陽光，他又將通過怎樣的方式找回輕松充實的生活？
本片改編自Ned Vizzini的同名小說，在布魯克林的一所大學預科學校和一所醫院取景拍攝。
